Abraham

I am a Master’s student in Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics at the Higher School of Economics (HSE), Russia. My research interests lie at the intersection of language, data, and culture—specifically in using computational methods to analyze musical data for the purpose of reviving endangered languages. I am currently working on four Nigerian languages as case studies in this effort.

My core competencies include:Corpus and Computational Analysis: Proficient in tools like AntConc, Brand Analytics, and other corpus-based engines for linguistic data interpretation.Python-Based Text Analysis: Skilled in data analysis, tokenization, and NLP techniques using Python, with development experience in environments like Google Colab.Natural Language Processing & AI: Exploring innovative applications of NLP and tools like ChatGPT in text and musical data analysis.

Broadly, my work focuses on computational approaches to text analytics, with a personal passion for integrating African musical traditions into linguistic research. I am actively seeking PhD opportunities where I can deepen my study of computational linguistics, language revitalization, and AI-driven musical data research. Also, Abraham (Ikojo) Musa is the founder and President of Aimsat Africa, a music company which is interested in promoting good gospel music.
